Nautica

Introduction

The newest member of the fleet, Nautica made her debut with Oceania Cruises in November 2005 and sailed from the Mediterranean to begin an inaugural season of cruises in Asia.

Nautica is pretty much an identical sister ship to the intimate and luxurious Regatta and Insignia, which means you can expect lots of rich teak, muted fabrics and rich-coloured carpets, as well as exeptional service courtesy of a well-trained and young European staff. The dress code is "flexible smart casual," intended to partner perfectly with Oceania's "whatever you want, whenever you want" mindset. Offering more overnights than any other premium cruise line Oceania Cruises will bring you more culture, more history and offer a comprehensive, in-depth experience, sailing in inimitable style and flair and, Nautica being a mid-sized ship, you will be treated to an uncompromised level of luxury, combined with extraordinairy amenities usually only found on larger ships.

Accommodation
Its more than presentation; its nothing short of flawless. Your stateroom or suite is the epitome of comfort and elegance where youll retire each evening to an exclusive Tranquility Bed, the most comfortable bedding at sea. And all suites and 60% of staterooms boast private teak verandas. Yet, despite this level of sophistication, the ambiance remains wonderfully casual, like that of a country club.

Facilities
The Oceania Spa is a world unto its own, a bastion of serenity and indulgence. To enhance your sense of well-being even further the window-walled state-of-the-art fitness centre boasts the lastest in cardio-vascular and weight-resistance equipment. Individual and group classes in aerobics, body toning, Pilates and yoga are offered as well, and the beauty salon provides manicures, tanning treatments, pedicures and hair-styling for women and men.

Dining
Savour the finest cuisine at sea, a testament to Oceania Cruises Executive Culinary Director, Jacques Ppin, who crafted the extraordinary menus. As the perfect complement, there are four, open-seating gourmet restaurants; in addition to the traditional main dining room scenario (albeit with no set tables or seating times) there are three speciality restaurants on board. Oceania Cruises is proud to be a member of Chaine de Rotisseurs, the world's most prestigious gastronomic society dovoted to the art of fine dining.

Entertainment
Have you ever read the news and wished you knew the story behind the story Wouldn't it be fascinating to have an insider's view of world events and topics of interest All this is possible through Oceania Cruises' stellar entertainment and enrichment programmes, which frequently feature guest lecturers, so you can discuss the intricacies of foreign policy with a renowned ambassador or converse with a best-selling author.

On board there is also a 12-piece orchestra and the string quartet often plays on deck, under the stars. The mood alters dramatically in the lively Horizons lounge, however, where you might hear jazz musicians jam or a virtuoso vocalist. Other lounges host amazing magicians, comedians and show-stopping headliners perform nightly. You can even show off your own talents on the dance floor or with a spirited karoke performance. Local and regional folk entertainment also feature, as well as Movies under the Stars; leaving you plenty of variety to choose from for you own evening's agenda on board.

In between ports of call choose to do as little or as much as you want: join a wine and cheese tasting or a culinary demonstration; practice some new steps in a dance lesson; attend an art auction or just browse the exhibits; settle into the well-stocked library; go on-line in the staff Internet Centre; enjoy duty free shopping or try your luck in the Casino.

Come aboard Nautica for your next cruise and you may well not want to be parted from the Oceania family again!
